Trivia[]
- Drees shares his death animation with Merjac, the Arcane Sapper, where he stabs himself with both blades after being defeated.
- Despite not having many similarities, Drees could be a reference to Illidan Stormrage, a major antagonist from World of Warcraft. Both use a similar outfit (shirtless, with a loose belt and ragged pants), both possess control over darkness, and both have wings and relation with demons.
- Drees doesn't have a counterpart from DOT Arena.
- This hero is based on the DOTA 2 Terror Blade.
- His title could be a reference to fallen angels, as Dominions are an hierarchy of celestial beings from the Second Sphere responsible from regulating and duties of lower angels. This is further reinforced by the fact that Drees has a pair of wings.
